GOD LOVES US AS MUCH AS HE LOVES JESUS CHRIST.

John 17:22-23 Amp. ''I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.''

Our opening scripture are the words of Jesus Christ himself. This was His prayer to the Almighty Father towards us. Observe what He said, ''I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given me....'' It's not going to happen, its already happened. Halleluyah!  He went further to emphasise our oneness with Him and the Father. We have become one with Jesus and the Father!

Our topic however, focuses on the concluding part of the scripture ''...that the world may know and [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me.'' He wants the whole world to know that God Almighty loves us as much as He loves Him. That is to say, in the same measure, (which is immeasurable) by which the Father loves Jesus, so also does He love us. This is so amazing. We look at ourselves as ordinary, but God loves us as much as He loves Jesus. No wonder the Bible teaches, that God so loved us, He sent Jesus to die for us (John 3:16).

The book of John 20: 17 expansiates on this love.  ''Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.''

This is wonderful. Jesus referred to us as His brethren (brothers), His Father as our Father, and His God, our God. How remarkable!

God's love for us knows no bounds. He sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to die for us, to save us. Not only that, we became His sons and daughters, He imparted to our Spirits eternal life, He gifted us with His righteousness, His glory, He gave us the Holy Spirit to dwell in us and guide us. What more can we ask for?

This takes the pressure out of life. No need for the struggling, no need for the bitterness, the poverty, the sufferings, the sicknesses and diseases. Think of how victorious and awesome your life should be. Because if God Almighty loves you this much, it means He has the best plans for your life, He knows the best decisions you ought to take, He knows what you need, when you need it and how you need it. No wonder the bible says, ''Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.'' (3rd John 1:2). This is God's will for us because He loves us dearly.

Having heard this truth, you've got to make up your mind whether to continue suffering in life or live triumphantly. Think about it, The Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth is your father and that He loves you as much as He loves Jesus. Suffering in life is now a choice.

What can you do to turn your life around now?

First and foremost, you've got to accept this truth and believe it in your heart. These words are not my words, they are the words of Jesus, therefore reckon it to be so.

Secondly, you say it aloud always to yourself, meditate on it, until it is embedded in your heart. Not only our opening scripture, but the word of God (the bible). Study to know for yourself the principles outlined in it (Joshua 1:8).

Finally, you walk in the light of it. In other words, act on the word. Be the doer of the word and watch your life go from glory to glory (James 1:22).
God bless you.
